Peter Towers, Managing Director of ESS BIZTOOLS will present an overview on improving debtors’ days outstanding together with Damian Arena, Managing Director of IODM (Innovative Online Debt Management). Australian small/medium enterprises were recently awarded the “dubious title” of having the worst debtors’ days outstanding in the World. The Australian government’s small Business and Family Business Ombudsman described this as the “silent killer of modern business” The review in over 80 countries had identified that Australia’s “Debtors’ Days Outstanding” is 26.4 days later than the traditional payment. Meaning that Australian small businesses are being paid on an average of 56.4 days.
