Between April and June, partners and managers of accounting firms throughout Australia are meeting with clients to review their financial position, identify the need for tax planning and discuss their financial objectives for the new financial year.
It’s a sad fact that many of our EOFY meetings are often not structured in a way that we can take real advantage of them. Much of the focus is confined to tax planning, when in fact discussions could be so much broader, providing you – the professional – with a golden opportunity to get to know your client better.
In session one of this 2 part program, we’ll identify the key steps that your team should take to get the most out of tax planning for clients and for your firm. In session two, we’ll discuss how you can use the tax planning meeting to really open up conversations with your clients about their financial objectives and needs. We’ll then take you through the process of setting up the meeting, establishing the agenda, presenting recommendations, and leading an engaging discussion about the client’s goals, while identifying opportunities to add value with advisory services in the new financial year.
Objectives of this program:
1. How to use your staff to identify client needs in relation to tax planning
2. How to effectively demonstrate to your clients the value of tax planning
3. How to successfully bill your clients for tax planning
4. How to run a successful meeting with your clients
5. How to identify opportunities to provide advisory and other services through the end of year client review process
