The CommBank Accounting Market Pulse Report, released in early May, has identified that most accountants have resolved to offer a range of diversified services in 2021/22. Many firms will be giving consideration to the types of services that they will be offering to their clients. Perhaps this is a problem that your firm is currently debating.
At ESS BIZTOOLS we have developed a “Business Advisory Services Starter Product Package” to assist accounting firms to make the all-important first steps into the delivery of a diversified range of services.
In July and August we are presenting a series of free weekly webinars to offer accountants the opportunity to gain an understanding of the services that we recommend that you introduce and giving you an overview of the service packages included within ESS BIZTOOLS.
This series of webinars will be launched on 7th July 2021 which will involve a discussion on the team training, communications and marketing that is necessary to be able to deliver the new range of services. I included an overview of the matters to be discussed in that webinar in our last article in For Accountants
Debtors’ Management is the first product package to be discussed in this series of webinars and this is being presented on Tuesday 13th July 2021 at 12-noon AES T. This review will consider:
- Debtors’ Management System
- Applications to Open an Account
- Directors’ Guarantees
- Welcome to New Customer Letter
- Debtors’ Statements
- Calculation of Debtors’ Days Outstanding
- Follow-up of Slow Payers
and other matters relative to Debtors’ Management. You can register for this free webinar by clicking here.
Most accountants have clients who operate tradie businesses. In our second webinar presentation in this series, we will be discussing the preparation of a report on suggested charge out rates to be utilised by a tradie business for the individual team member classifications within that business. This webinar is being presented on Tuesday 20th July 2021.
In a tradie business, it is important to consider a number of key factors which contribute to the calculation of a charge out rate that will assist in generating sufficient revenue so that the business will earn its targeted profit for the year.
Some of the components to be considered in the webinar include:
- Identification of labour on costs for the various classifications of team members.
- Individual salaries, working hours, expected productivity.
- Markup on external purchases made for clients.
- The business’ overhead costs.
- The profit target for the business.
The Tradie Charge Out Rate Calculator produces suggested charge out rates to be utilised for each team member category.
You can register for the Tradie Charge Out Calculator webinar on 20th July 2021 by clicking here.
In these webinars we will be discussing how a subscriber to ESS BIZTOOLS is able to utilise these product packages to assist in the delivery of new services to clients and how other components of the ESS BIZTOOLS’ packages can be utilised to communicate and market to your clients, the broader range of professional services that a firm, subscribing to the ESS BIZTOOLS’ packages, is now able to offer.
